We will be playing at a festival organized by Marek Macák in honor of his father Honza, the founder of Banjo Jamboree, the oldest bluegrass festival in Europe. That's why we're heading to Kopidlno, to the multi-purpose pitch, for this very pleasant festival full of great bands. We hope the rain that accompanied last year's edition stays away this time...
Rooster Riders are heading to the South Bohemian capital of bluegrass—Velešín—to perform at the 15th annual festival held in the beautiful grounds of the Zlatá Růže winery, alongside seasoned bands. The pleasant atmosphere with great food and drinks is complemented each year by cool features like a large sunshade screen and a garden "shower" to keep you cool—so even in the hot August weather, there's nothing to worry about. There's no reason not to make the trip to Velešín then—we look forward to seeing you there!
Bluegrass in the Czech Republic is sometimes seen as a fading genre for the older generation. But there are bands out there who completely disagree — fighting for a spot on stage for the younger generation, so a younger crowd can show up in the audience too. Two of these young bands will join forces for a gig in Plzeň at the ACW Saloon — don’t miss your chance to see two bands where musicians around 20 years of age play at one event. The energetic progressive sound of the Roosters will be complemented by the modern twist on traditional bluegrass from Young Sparks.
We are going to the Královédvorsko region to the lovely village of Vlčkovice v Podkrknoší for the 34th year of the Malinkej festival, the memorial of Milan Vojtas. 34 years of persistently organizing the festival is, in our opinion, a difficult task - fortunately, we know that it is in the good hands of Béda Šturm and therefore there is nothing to worry about and both performers and listeners will be able to come to it for many years to come. Anyway, this year we will be one of the performing bands, so don't forget to come and support us!
